After much hype and too much noise, finally Apple launched its flagship Apple iPhone’s latest handsets. And will be available in India later this month, Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be going on sale in India from September 29. Highly anticipated and in news for its special feature, iPhone X will be in the market by November.
Flipkart, the iPhone authorized online reseller, has some exchange offers for earlier iPhones if one buys the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus from the website. Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus users can get upto Rs 11,000 off. The iPhone 6 Plus can get Rs 9500 off on the final price. An older iPhone 5s will get Rs 4,300 off only, as per information coming from sources.
iPhone 7 is now retailing at a lower price, the 128GB version of the iPhone has an official price of Rs 58,000, though you can get it for Rs 55,000 on Flipkart, with some more discount under exchange.
The iPhone 8 price in India starts at Rs 64,000 and goes up to Rs 86,000 for the 256GB version of the iPhone 8 Plus, but the difference is not much between the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7 series, as per the specifications and features.
New iPhone 8 sports a glass and aluminium design and comes in three colours: new gold, silver and space grey. There’s no matte black in this series like with the iPhone 7 series. The news about new features of the iPhone 8 series is that it will have the new glass design, support wireless charging and the new A11 Bionic processor with the neural engine.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus phones are on the A10 Fusion chip, already a year old but these two phones are still superb and powerful. The new 2, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus don’t offer any special advantage over iPhone 7 series. Apple website says that these new ones are almost same as the older phones. Yes the iPhone 8 Plus does have a little better camera on rear, with the Portrait Lighting mode (beta) to improve portrait pictures.
Now if you want to buy the iPhone and have a budget of up to 70,000, you can go with the iPhone 7 Plus with 128GB for close to Rs 67,999 on Flipkart itself.
The iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus are almost similar to the iPhone 8, 8 Plus except for design difference, the improved processor with a higher price tag on the new series. iPhone 8 has two variants only, 64GB and 256GB storage, which is bad when you need 128GB, which is priced less in the 7 series.
